The monarch migration is a multi-generational journey. Take a look!

The monarch migration north is a multi-generational journey that begins in Mexico. The monarchs that spent the winter in Mexico will make it to the southern U.S. before laying eggs. Their offspring will move further north before laying eggs in the north.

On the way south, the same monarch will travel the entire way to overwintering sites, then start the migration all over again in the spring.
